SCOOBY-DOO MYSTERY INCORPORATED : SEASON 1 EPISODE 26 – ALL FEAR THE FREAK

SCOOBY-DOO MYSTERY INCORPORATED: SEASON 1 EPISODE 26 – ALL FEAR THE FREAK

This one starts out 20 years ago, with the original Mystery Inc, going beneath the Darrow Mansion to obtain the “Planispheric Disc”. There they end up running in “The Freak”. Fast forward to the modern-day and the gang is all going out at midnight to uncover the secret of Crystal Cove and the “Planispheric Disc” and the curse of Crystal cove once and for all. Meanwhile, Fred begins to suspect the rest of the gang is right in thinking that his father the Mayor is somehow involved.

If I ever start a group of teen mystery solvers, I probably won’t name it after a group that disappeared 20 years earlier without a trace. This episode like the first one also features the gang temporarily behind bars. Angel Dynamite (Cassidy Williams) is heavily involved in this episode to try and protect the kids from the clutches of “The Freak”. The gang sucks at taking her help.

Overall this episode has some pretty heavy news for the gang and writing-wise isn’t quite as fun as some of the other episodes in the series. While it got good reviews, for me this one just wasn’t all that great and definitely didn’t pack the writing punch of the preceding episode. I did like the main villain and the sub-villain in the story. We also find out that at the “Planispheric Disc” supposedly leads to a cursed treasure.

Fact – Shaggy has an emergency fridge full of food as the bottom of his bed.

Best Line – “There out of control Colton, I think it’s time to consider the nuclear option” – Shaggy’s Mom

For me this one gets a 5 out of 7.
