SCOOBY-DOO MYSTERY INCORPORATED: SEASON 1 EPISODE 25 – PAWN OF SHADOWS
The gang investigates the main arc mystery of Crystal Cove with the help of Professor H.P. Hatecraft. A villain named Obliteratrix blows the crap out of the Mystery Van and Fred is just not having it. it's up to the gang to find out why and how is this related to the curse of Crystal cove.
This episode gives a bit more away about what is going on with Angel Dynamite (Cassidy Williams) and her relation to Mr. E. It also got one of the highest ratings of any episode in the entire series. I am guessing this is due to the fact that H.P. Hatecraft is getting hounded by a new author behind the “Dusk” series. The author is a clear shot at the “Twilight” series which probably won a ton of points with fans. The villain is also a lot smarter than a lot of the villains we see in the series. She’s also incredibly powerful and ridiculously fast.
The episode is also well-written diving pretty deep into the
gang's effort to piece clues together from other episodes in the series. It
highlights how much effort was put into the writing of this freakin this entire
season. It also mentions Destroido’s shell Corporation, Quest Research
Laboratories (an awesome tribute to Jonny Quest 65’).
Fact – Sheriff Stone is clearly single and looking for someone to date. He actually has a crush on the Obliteratrix.
