SCOOBY-DOO MYSTERY INCORPORATED: SEASON 1 EPISODE 15 – THE
WILD BROOD
A rowdy Ore biker gang has decided to roll through Crystal
Cove and only Daphne and Velma seem excited about it after meeting them. Fred
kinda has another meltdown of jealousy like in the “When The Cicada Calls” episode,
but in this episode, it doesn’t impress Daphne. Mostly because Fred sucks at
dating and she’s already not too thrilled with him.
Velma and Scooby are still not getting along, but part of that is the fact that Velma refuses to give up information in order to save Scooby’s
life. It’s a pretty awesome moment in this series.
We also meet Chen voiced by the legendary James Hong (Lo Pan
from BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA). During this scene, we also find out that there is a Chinatown in Crystal Cove. This is about as interesting as having a
Gatorsville 3 miles outside of town.
The plot for this one is actually pretty good, but the
villains are lacking a bit in the creative department. I do like the villain's motive explanation
though. It’s probably one of the funniest, over the top, and longest in the
series.

Second Best Quote – “You keep that mask on, you kids freak
me out without them” – Sheriff Stone.
This one is a bit shaky for me regarding the designs, it
felt like a bit of a drop-off from the last 3 or 4 episodes in the series. For
that reason in spite of the decent storyline, I gotta give it a 4 out of 7.
