It appears not even the Dream Warriors could handle business and now Freddy has once again found a way back into the dreams of Elm Street teens. It doesn’t take long before the victims list starts to pile up and sadly in this one, a few of our favorites have their stomachs full…or their beds full.

Patricia Arquette apparently has had enough of Freddy, but we do get Kristen Parker from The Dream Warriors back only she looks a lot more like Tuesday Knight. Anyway, the producers decided to give us a decent storyline but not as amazing as the previous installment. What they did ratchet up was the effects. Ultimately Kristen has to transfer her powers of dream-awesome to her friend Alice who unfortunately gets forced to run around a lot and do the same scene like 8 times while her friends are getting picked off.

Epic stuff about this movie –

1) Out of all the films this movie somehow managed to feature some of the best practical effects and some of the WORST CGI like ever all crammed into 1 film.

2) The best scene in my opinion in the entire series is in this and it involves Debbie who just well…check it out.

3) Some of the cinematography was just over the top great.

Stuff that was not so great –

1) The crappy jaws scene. I get what they were trying to accomplish but no, just no.

2) There is a scene in here where I felt like shooting the screen. Let’s just say, it happens a lot in this movie.

3) Freddy is almost too ridiculous in this movie. Like in a non-scary or even cool way. More like in a “Is the lipstick and drag really necessary when you were just a full-blown chick in the previous installment” kind of way.

4) The soundtrack is fine, but it's a massive downgrade from the last installment.

For some decent moments and trying to stay true to the formula I have to give this one a 4 out of 7 but it probably deserves a 3. I give this movie a 4 out of 7.
