SCREAM 4 (2011)
Admittedly I didn’t run out to see SCREAM 4 when it was released, for whatever reason I hadn’t seen anything in the series till yesterday. I can say that I was thrilled to have this, be part of my SCREAM marathon and part 4 was well worth the wait. It also made me finally realize that I am the exact same age as Neve Campbell (but that has nothing to do with this review).

Admittedly I didn’t run out to see SCREAM 4 when it was released, for whatever reason I hadn’t seen anything in the series till yesterday. I can say that I was thrilled to have this, be part of my SCREAM marathon and part 4 was well worth the wait. It also made me finally realize that I am the exact same age as Neve Campbell (but that has nothing to do with this review).
Set in the same city
where the events of part 1 happened years have passed and Sidney has written a
self-help book, Courtney Cox is now married to David Arquette, Anna Paquin has
ditched her Rouge hair and now looks silly blonde, Lucy Hale isn’t nearly as
smart as she is in PRETTY LITTLE LIARS and so on. New killings have come to
Woodsboro all surrounding the recent release of STAB 9 and the height of Sidney’s
fame. SCREAM 4 features the single best opening of anything this series has
done, and the most fantastic ending of all of the films. Part horror film, part
who done it, there is simply no ignoring how epic this movie really is. In a
genre now ruled by the supernatural, it was nice to get back to smart, fun,
what the heck just happened horror.
This installment brings back Sidney, Gale, and Dewey from the first 3 films and we also get the trademark casting that is always present in this series. Emma Roberts (one of my favorite actresses but recently kicked her boyfriends a-s in real life), Hayden Panettiere (most recently in NASHVILLE), Marley Shelton (PLANET TERROR, and a bunch of other stuff that is awesome), Anthony Anderson (TRANSFORMERS, LAW AND ORDER), Marielle Jaffe (SECRET LIFE OF THE AMERICAN TEENAGER who tragically died under mysterious circumstances in 2022) all-star in this one. I can’t say enough good things about this one, but you really should watch the first 3 before checking it out.
