Now, my point is that the lack of a silver spoon has set you on a certain path that you needn't stay on. If you're prepared to adapt and learn, you can transform.

So the secret service decides it’s time to recruit a street kid who is on the path to a lifetime in jail and limited phone calls. He and the other recruits must go through rigorous training (seriously it’s almost as tough as what the kids in THE MAZE RUNNER have to do) to get into the program.

This thing is loaded with “cool”, but unfortunately features a wonky church scene that kinda felt like the writer and director just hate church people, so he paints them into the most bizarre un-Christian-like light as possible, or something God-o-phobic like that. There is a reason it happens, but damn. Not saying the director feels that way, but the scene just seemed bizarrely out of place.

Anyway- the rest of this thing is like KICK-ASS and 007 decided to make a robot and that robot wrote a script. The acting and action are nothing short of fantastic even though some of the stuff felt a little phony. Not over the top phony…just weird looking. I dug the storyline in this thing and Samuel L Jackson is just freakin great. Taron Egerton as Eggsy is great in this as well as Sofia Boutella as Gazelle.

One more thing to point out is this epic soundtrack. I don’t know if I could have possibly liked the opening sequence for this any more than I did and the soundtrack holds up throughout. Overall this is a really fun flick. There is also a Mark Hamill sighting. What else could you want?

  1. I agree, it was a great movie. I personally feel the church scene was a commentary about WBC and their ilk.
