SNAKES ON A TRAIN
(2006)
In this one a woman is given a curse quite literally called
“snakes”. She has a man looking after her who is trying to get her to Los
Angeles on a train to have a Shaman remove the curse. As you may have guessed
it’s too late and the snakes are eating her from the inside out…well sort of. I
won’t give away the ending in case you decide to completely blow a night on
this movie, having said that for some it might actually be worth the wait. I
will say the last 8 to 10 minutes are pretty crazy compared to the other 81
minutes we are left twiddling our thumbs and staring intently at the “power”
button on the remote.
This one never hit theaters for good reason and was clearly
playing on the success of SNAKES ON A PLANE. One of several problems here is
that story is not nearly as good and the snakes were probably more intimidated
by the humans on the plane than the other way around during filming.
The biggest problem oddly isn’t the acting, it’s the
horribly boring dialog driven script. If you haven’t seen Amelia Jackson-Gray
in anything she does a pretty good job in THE CAMPAIGN and HEART LAND but isn’t
given much to work with here.
I give this movie a 2 out of 7. Rating Definition : 2 out of
7 – EHH, this movie was not good and you know it. You kind of wish you hadn’t
paid to see it or allowed that chick in the deli to talk you into taking her.
Once the bad taste in your mouth is washed out, you won’t think this is the
worst movie ever, but you will think it was close.
