CRITERIA :
- Movies in the TOP 10 must have been released theatrically or on a streaming service in the United States in 2021.
- I personally had to have seen it. None of the movies considered are without a full review.
No matter what came out this year, it simply wasn't going to compete with the mind blowing scale of GODZILLA VS KONG. On top of layers of spectacular kaiju mayhem, we actually got a pretty amazing story and got introduced to new worlds that open of the possibilities for the MONSTERVERSE for decades to come. For fans of both Godzilla and King Kong it was a 58 year wait between movies involving this once (or I guess twice) in a lifetime cinematic masterpiece. GODZILLA VS KONG is the reason movies exist.
