SCOOBY-DOO! MYSTERY INCORPORATED :
SEASON 2 EPISODE 26 – COME UNDONE

Mystery Incorporated is one of the greatest incarnations if not “the greatest”. Unfortunately, I think the plan all along was to wrap up the series with this Season 2 wrap-up of the overall arc mystery. If you haven’t seen it I don’t want to give anything away.
Art-wise this one is pretty interesting. There are some cool lava digital effects, nothing insane but they work. The first half has tons of energy and the designs are over the top.
Storyline wise this is just heaping disappointment on top of the last episode. For those that liked it, I guess I understand why, but it undermines almost everything that came before it and ends up feeling just really goofy and dark at the same time. Even Nova (Scooby’s girlfriend) seems to have tricked the gang into a previous episode's adventure to go do something that means absolutely nothing. If I had my usual "oddity" note in this review, that would be it.
This all takes the entire series into the idea of alternate timelines. It’s possible this was meant to be a bridge to all of the other incarnations of Scooby-Doo! but sadly there was no season 3. Part of what hurts about this episode isn’t so much the ending, which I strongly disliked, but the fact that it was the end of an amazing run for the franchise. For me, nothing else has ever come close even with this bizarre and disjointed ending.
I give this series overall a 7 out of 7 with each episode getting it's own scored. It’s a series I love to visit often. This episode though was a tough and weird pill to swallow. I give it a 1 out of 7. There are hundreds of different ways as I writer I would have handled this thing. The neat little bow they were attempting, feels more like a dagger.
