KIM POSSIBLE : SEASON 1 EPISODE 8 – MIND GAMES (2002)

In this one a dude named Pvt. Dobbs who invents something called the “Nuetronalizer” gets kidnapped by Drakken and ends up switching brains with that dude. At some point after Ron and Kim go to rescue the inventor, they end up getting switched during a battle with Shego.

The Freaky Friday scenario ends up drawing Ron and Kim closer, but it’s also a pretty decent plot line. Ron ends up getting bullied when Kim’s mind is in his body and Ron ends up realizing that Kim has a schedule that is basically impossible. We also find out that Ron’s character is Jewish or at least eats like one, because he wants a kosher lunch.

Overall the artwork and direction in this episode is pretty good. I also liked the fact that they dove even deeper into both Ron and Kim’s life because there are few episodes before this that address Ron getting picked on.

Oddity – Rufus ends up getting electrocuted and is shown with frizzed hair. Pretty odd for a hairless creature. It’s also slightly strange that a mind switching device would also change both Ron and Kim’s voices to the other character. Having said that, who really cares. This episode is still pretty rad.

Best Line : “So I lose the security deposit, it’s worth it” – Drakken

I give this episode a 5 out of 7. It’s a playful re-telling of a time honored story line.
