In this slightly faithful adaptation of the SNOW WHITE story, Snow White is the daughter of a kind King and Queen whose lives and kingdom are disrupted by the death of the Queen. First off, I love Gal Gadot. I will pretty much see any movie she's involved in. However, she was the wrong pick for this role. I thought she did a great job within her talent set, but it is very difficult to view her as anyone but the hero or at least the slightly good villain in any movie. THE ELECTRIC STATE (2025) Tagline: Not the '90s you remember. (Sci-Fi, AI, There's Trouble On The Moon) [PG-13] Oh. I'm sorry, I have a condition where I can only live in reality. Sucks, but you go right ahead! Okay—first off, I have no idea what people were expecting with this thing. In the previews, I saw dystopian, broken-down robots with all kinds of epic designs talking and fighting, and pretty much said, "Take my money." Granted, this movie was only streamed, so I just got a month of the service it was on. This one takes place in an alternate version of 1997, where there has already been a robot vs human war, and the only way the humans could win was to (insert elevator music here). Then we meet this girl Michelle (post-war) who lives in an abusive situation and meets a Cosmo robot that may be able to help her find her "thought to be dead" brother. They will need help, though, which is where Keats (a war veteran) and Herman, his robot, come in. ...

DEATH OF A UNICORN (2025) Tagline: They're going to make a killing. (Monster Horror, Comedy, Big Pharma Must Die) [R] Must be moose mating season or somethin... In this one, Elliot is taking his daughter, Ridley, to the home of a mega-rich pharmaceutical CEO's estate on a business trip to basically take over a portion of the company's affairs after the CEO (Odell Leopold) passes away. However, on the way, Elliot hits a unicorn on the road and decides to bring it with him to the estate, leading to a horrific series of events. Okay, I am just going to come out and say it. When you look at this list of over 100 movies released by A24 since 2013, it's about 99% terrible movies. There just isn't any way around it. Clearly, this is just my opinion, but I could probably win in court if I were asked to prove it on most of them. (Horror, Thriller, Skiing In The Dark) [R] Note: As far as I can tell this was never released in theaters and was not given an MPAA rating, but it definitely would have been an [R]. I'm taking a shower then crashing, when's dinner? In this one, a group of friends returns to the ski resort where years earlier a mutual friend was killed after being invited by an unknown person promising great times and a free stay. It doesn’t take long before the group realizes things are not as they seem when their host tells them he not only invited but spoke to their dead friend. As the night wears on, the group is getting picked off one by one. Will anyone survive till dawn? First off, the main issue with this movie is not the execution. INVASION OF THE NEPTUNE MEN (1961) Tagline: None (Sci-Fi, Action, Thank God for Alpha Electron Rockets) [G] Note: This movie was never given an MPAA rating. If it came out today, it likely would have been a [G]. Sorry guys, we're idiots I guess. In this one, a spaceship lands containing aliens from Neptune. They are quickly fought off by a hero named “Space Chief”, but after 2 nuclear explosions in the atmosphere, the defense of earth becomes a priority as a full-scale invasion of Neptune Men with the intention of taking over earth becomes increasingly imminent. What really works in this movie is the epic space helmet designs we get for the Neptune men. Yes, they are goofy, but I absolutely love these things. The other thing that is pretty cool are the Neptune men’s spaceship designs in general.
