(Action, Fantasy, Monsters on the Loose) [PG-13] Note: This movie did not get an MPAA rating, but I am pretty sure if it had been given a rating it would be an [PG-13]. MEG 2: THE TRENCH (2023) Tagline: New Meg, Old Chum (Action, Sci-Fi, Giant Sharks Will Eat Your Face) [PG-13] In this one, Meiying’s uncle is doing a lot of tech development for a company run by Driscoli an ultra-wealthy and powerful corporation head. James 'Mac' Mackreides is still heading research into the trench that a couple Megalodon escaped from 4 years earlier. Jonas Taylor has also started working with ‘Mac’ to try and stop chemical and nuclear dumping in the area. It doesn’t take long before a new incident leads to the release of not only new Megalodon but other creatures from the depths of the ocean. Can Jonas, DJ, Mac, and the rest of the crew stop this new threat? First off, this movie is not going to be for the critics looking to pick apart every little issue they find with the plot. TRICK OR TREATS (1982) Tagline: ...when Halloween night stopped being fun! (Horror, Magic, Adventures In Babysitting) [R] You're cute. Are you the babysitter? Oh man, in this one a man named Malcolm ends up being wrongfully committed to a mental institution by his wife Joan. She then shacks up with another dude named Richard. The two of them are really supportive of Joan’s son Christopher’s fascination with magic and the macabre, but when they leave him for Halloween night with a babysitter named Linda, all hell breaks loose. Not only is Christopher a conniving maniac, but his father Malcolm has also escaped from the mental hospital and wants revenge on Joan. So when you start looking into a decent-sized stack of movies that are not in the “Halloween” series but take place on Halloween, you end up with a list of over 200 flicks. SCOOBY-DOO MYSTERY INCORPORATED : SEASON 2 EPISODE 10 – NIGHT TERRORS [Animation, Adventure, Comedy] In this one, the mystery machine gets damaged in an avalanche while Shaggy, Scooby, Daphne, Velma, and Fred, so they end up having to stay at the Burlington Mansion in the middle of nowhere. Once there the caretaker (who hates the cold) gives the gang a tour and they find out the owners of the mansion are obsessed with groups of 4 that hang out with 1 animal…just like Scooby-Doo and the gang (one of them is called “The Benevolent Lodge Of Mystery”. It doesn’t take long before they all start seeing things. Can they solve the mystery before their hallucinations destroy them all? This episode gives nods to THE SHINING, VACATION, and even CLASH OF THE TITANS . In fact, we’ve seen the family that showed up at the beginning of the episode before, back in Episode 2. PYTHON ISLAND (2022)

PYTHON ISLAND (2022) Tagline: Prepare for The Hiss of Death (Action, Adventure, Why Did It Have to Be Snakes) [PG-13] Note: This movie was not given an MPAA rating, but it would have gotten an [PG-13]. The movie was also known as GIANT PYTHON. In this one a boy and his father are out on a small raft when they end up coming to an island nearby that is basically so cursed they call it “cannibal island”. The boy decides to go check it out leaving his father behind. When the father can’t find him he returns to their village for help. The boy is rescued and ends up growing up to be a geneticist. As it turns out rumors of the island possibly possessing a substance that can give you eternal life have driven some people to want to go back to the island for nefarious reasons. It doesn’t take long before everyone finds out the island is full of danger, mystery, and death in the form of plants that will eat your face off, or poisonous snakes and a giant venomous serpent.
