KIM POSSIBLE : SEASON 1 EPISODE 7 – NUMBER ONE (2002)

KIM POSSIBLE : SEASON 1 EPISODE 7 – NUMBER ONE (2002)

In this one Kim gets basically kidnapped by Global Justice, which is basically a team of spies that never seems to get mentioned in the series again. Or if they do, it’s very little. Anyway while trying to go on a mission with one of the Global Justice agents “Will Do”, Kim and Bonnie are both trying for cheer leading team captain, and of course that is a lot more drama than Kim is letting on.

This is the first episode in the series where we get introduced to Duff Killigan the series 7th villain. This dude got kicked out of every golf course on the planet and decided to turn into a super villain who is famous for hitting exploding golf balls at you. The show knows this is a crazy villain idea, to the point where his weirdness is even mentioned in the dialog.  His plot is even nuttier. He generally wants to make everything a giant golf course with some fast growing grass he stole from a professor he kidnapped.

Aside from the introduction of Duff Killigan this episode is just okay. There is more plot here than the episode seems to want to address, so everything feels a bit quickly paced, even for this show. I do like Duff Killigan as a villain, but this episode feels like a bit of a throwaway. As an example, the cheerleader change in uniform that happens in this episode is never brought up again after this episode. They just go right back to the uniforms they have always had.

Cool – Procrastinators Club : Meeting postponed. The sign outside the school.

Best Line : “There it is…Killigan’s Island” – Ron Stoppable.

I have to give this one a 4 out of 7. Again outside of the introduction of Duff Killigan and a lot of grass growing everywhere, this isn’t all that much too this one that would make me want to push it to a 5 out of 7. Especially given the ending.
