Bloody hell. After Tina has a knock-down-drag-out with Jason (the man behind the mask) for some damn reason Paramount decided to hand the directing reigns to Rob Hedden. I don’t know the guy, I just know he worked on the TV show and they must have felt he would do the series justice. In a way he did at the box office the movie made almost 3 times what it cost to make, but the previous installment made 6 times what it cost to make and took 5 Million more at the box office than Manhattan did.

Anyway after killing some people at the usual stomping grounds, Jason ends up in Manhattan to basically figure out a way for this series to have the stupidest ending of all time for any horror movie ever. The end.

Sorry, this thing is such a pile of crap, that I didn’t even want to write the review. Everything is bad about it. Even if you find a good review for it, they are just flat-out, we're not viewing this through the same horror fan lens I was. Never will you read anything that will make you dumber for having read it, than a good review for this movie. Calms down for 5 minutes.

Okay, so did I find anything good in this thing? Yes. In spite of my temper tantrum, I did like that they had Jason on a subway in a crowded area. It delivered on the movie's namesake and I appreciated those sequences. I also liked the guitar chick and the guy filming the rock video, but sadly they were killed off quickly. Jensen Daggett is not a bad actress and would have made a decent final girl if they hadn't written the character of Rennie so badly. Trying to cram a backstory into the movie in the middle of the alley when Jason is chasing the protagonist is one of the worst ideas ever.

Did I mention this movie was a total pile of crap? When I think of this series both 8 and 9 never freakin happened. Total and absolute waste of your time. For fans of the series this movie is a literal kick in the nuts. If you accidentally have a copy just burn it and move to JASON X now.
