ANT-MAN (2015)
Of all the stuff the Marvel Cinematic Universe has done,
ANTMAN probably proved to be the toughest. From size changes to sets, this
movie felt like imagination on display in the best way possible. The result is
probably Marvel’s 2nd best film to date. This thing is in your face,
genius, and just a freakin blast. From comedic “everybody will die-free” plot
elements to awesome over the top action sequences ANTMAN has just about every signature you go to movies to see while pulling just enough at the heartstrings
to make you want to see these characters over and over again.
I won’t give away
the ending or the final scenes but finally…I mean freakin finally we have one
that had people screaming with excitement (either outside or inside) for the
future of the MCU. The movie follows a thief named Scott Lang whose skills knowledge
lead him quite purposefully into a world of high tech heroism.
I already liked
Paul Rudd and he is freaking perfect for the role of ANTMAN. Evangeline Lilly
plays Hope Van Dyne and is just as awesome as she is in all her other awesome
movies and TV stuff. Go ahead…look, she doesn’t do anything that doesn’t rock.
I was happy to see Michael Douglas in this and Corey Stoll as Yellow Jacket is
just as perfect as it gets.
So yeah, there isn’t a damn thing about this movie that didn’t rock. That’s why it’s getting a big fat 7 out of 7.
